Quick update

melted_snowball's here, whee!

We did G&C last night with Gamaches and Floyds & Cara & Kate & Bryree. Played Apples to Apples and had a fine time.

Today Dan & I went for a walk over in Big Dry Creek open space, which was a nice thing I'll have to do again. Saw many prarie dogs, which I must remember tend to hit out-of-towners' niftiness buttons. Later, he explained the talk he's giving on Monday to me, and I followed the whole thing, which was pretty cool, given that bioinformatics is not even remotely my field. (In short: DNA sequence matching is like diffing files; taking into account the ways in which mutations happen lets you get much, much better matching. Like most good science, it makes you go "oh, DUH" after it's been explained.) Karen & Thomas came over to hang out, and Greg made super-tasty steamed pork buns.
