Upgrade cancellation [Nov. 1st, 2006|03:44 pm]
The plan today was to upgrade the OS on my computer at work (RedHat Enterpise 3->4), but there's some totally mysterious problem with the USB or something that keeps it from happening at all, so instead we're just going to leave it until I get a new computer later this year. Which is w00tness, basically, because now I don't have to spend the rest of this week reinstalling things. Huzzah!

In other news, Halloween is past, the punkins are shrivelling, and extra candy is sitting on counters in the breakroom area for passers-by to snatch, but my hair is still blonde.

I'm kinda diggin' on the new icon. It's not as evil at 100x100 as it is at full size, and it's a decent picture of me. I was planning on using it only until Halloween, but now I'm starting to think about continuing to use it for a bit longer, maybe until my hair grows out.

Waddaya think?

Should I keep the nega-Beemer icon as my default for a while longer?

Totally, it is awesome
No, the laser-beam eyes are too scary
I didn't even notice the new icon because I am a bastard and I don't love you
The very topic floods my entire being with ennui and despair; I am abstentiousness itself and from the inmost depths of my soul I cry 'meh'
Dude... wait, whut?

The laser eyes are cool. But where’s the option for “No, the scalded-yellow hair is like a frightening window into a limbo dimension, where men are driven insane by both the emptiness which forces them to strip their being down to the core, and the absolute conviction that somewhere nearby, a moose is eating walnuts”?

’Cuz that’s what I’d vote.

I voted for the long answer, 'cuz, well, it had words.

But I would have chosen this one if it had been an option, 'cuz, well, it has more words.
