Bits and Pieces:

We went to Chris & Todd's Xmas party this Saturday up in Loveland. It was very nice, and the house decorations were *quite* impressive. It's always nice to see them; they're good people.

I have done hardly any Christmas shopping yet. Probably time to start getting on that, huh?

My stepmother sold the house, which is a big relief. My Dad left behind a lot of debts related to unfinished business dealings when he died, so she did a lot of renovating to sell the house. It's easier to put $15k more into the house and sell it for $20k higher than as-is, even in this market, but it was worrisome until it happened.

I re-read Iain Banks' Excession this weekend. I'm stuck in the middle of several other books, but this one I just picked up and zipped right through. I really like it, and it was easier to follow this time. It's obviously a big influence on Orion's Arm, which is something I'm trying to learn more about.

We watched the first disc of Paranoia Agent. Very strange, but I like it so far. Looking forward to seeing the rest. I really want to read all about it online, but I don't want any spoilers, so I'm holding off...
