We went to Pho 79 on Federal, which is the place where Jerry and I had been once long ago, and I'm all but certain that it was the place that had the perfect salty soda lemonade. It was one of those things where you try something strange, just to see what it's like, and it was truly amazing. "This," I said, "is what lemon-lime soda is trying to be." I've never had it be as good since. It was pretty good tonight, but I think they gave me just normal chanh muoi, instead of soda chanh muoi, and the carbonation makes a big difference.
Anyway, it was a nice dinner and I got to see the new place. Chatted for a bit afterwards. My sister likes science more than I thought. She's having trouble with trig (lousy teacher), so I told her to call if she ever had questions. And we talked about global warming some, which I really think indicates the extent to which the general public is suddenly getting it. So that's nice.
