Since that big snowstorm missed us by a hundred miles or so, it is for truly spring. The weather the last few days has been just gorgeous. I banged up my left shin pretty fierce hopping over a fence to go see what kind of flowers were turning some of the nearby fields purple. (Answer: I don't know, but not clover, which is mostly what I was wondering. Something tall and branching with little tiny flowers.)

There was birthday G&C on Friday for me. (My actual birthday is tomorrow.) Kate made some great tiramisu. I was muchly impressed with it, especially because the last time I had tiramisu, it was so boozy I feared it would either endrunken me or spontaneously combust. I got a big pile of books that made me think "why have I not bothered with having an Amazon wishlist before now?", plus several unlisted books from zalena, the Gloom expansions, and Munchkin Cthulhu. The Tough Guide to Fantasyland is hysterical, and a fine thing to read if you're ever thinking about writing fantasy. It was a hanging out and talking kind of evening, sort of low-key.

I'm starting to notice that my productivity will not infrequently start to peak around 5 pm on Friday, which is sort of inconvenient. If anyone would care to wave their magic wand of insight and tell me what all the factors are that need to align for me to get things done, I'm all ears.

Oh, and speaking of work, Greg got a promotion. Go him!
