Beemer
I got a filling replaced today, but Jerry went me one better and broke a finger in kung fu.

(He's very excited about this. Honestly. He's thrilled. It shows he's tough and has a high pain threshold. Plus? He's on vicodin right now. So that may be a contributing factor.)

He's writing a big post all about it, so I'll just hit 'submit' real quick so this one shows up before his does...

Villainy! Of course you beat him to the post, his poor little aching finger isn't working as fast as it usually does. Plus, he's drugged.

My post is a teaser! It's like the two minutes of a TV show that you get before the opening credits!

Your post was outright villany! Taking advantage of your monkey's poor condition.

While, indeed, Beemer is often the villain of villanis, he did mean well by letting people know about my injury. However, if it was a teaser, as he says, then there is a distinct lack of drama, pathos, excitement, and mystery that should be included in his words to draw in the crowds. Don't you agree?

Aww, come on! "My boyfriend broke a finger in kung fu." Breaking a finger = drama, my boyfriend = pathos, and kung fu = excitement. And I don't say how you broke it, which gives you mystery! What else could it need? It's a four-star trailer, I tell you! FOUR STARS!

Meh.

If KFM's injury was akin to the sinking of the Titanic, maybe I could give you this. But I think you gave away too much. If you wanted to pull a proper teaser, you'd have needed to say something like: KFM suffers greivous injury in Kung Fu class! That sets up the drama, pathos, and excitement without spoiling the story.

"grievously and traumatically wounded!" You're absolutely right, that's what I should have said.
