Yesterday I stayed home and mostly took the day off. It was very rejuvenating. Spent a lot of not-doing-much time. The only downside is that I burned the roof of my mouth pretty badly on a microwave burrito, and it has made eating difficult. Thankfully the mouth heals quickly.

I took the bus to work today. I discovered a new route that doesn't make me wait 20 minutes at the park-n-ride for the shuttle from work (I can instead take the bus all the way in to Boulder station, then hop the bus to Longmont & get off a hundred feet from work), but the shuttle was right there when the bus pulled in, so I took it anyway.

The new plan is to take the bus (which has air conditioning) on days when it is really hot, because the minivan does not have AC. Plus, I will save money on gas.

We realized at bedtime that Greg was out of sudafed, so I drove to the nearest 24-hour Walgreens, which is all the way out in freakin' Thornton. I curse everyone ever involved with the creation of crystal meth, for making it so much harder to buy effective decongestants. Curse yooooou!

Buses here were free today, and will be tomorrow too. We all get free bus rides on code orange and code red days. Thanks to our traditionally stagnant hot, humid, summers, we have more of those days than i care to think about, though in fairness, the air quaility is still better than it was 20 years ago, if only due to most of the older cars no longer being on the road.

Hm. Considering that our regional population has doubled in those 20 years, i suppose things could be a lot worse.

(Sorry, i'm a bit tired and rambly this morning - i realyl should sleep.)
