Yesterday I stayed home and mostly took the day off. It was very rejuvenating. Spent a lot of not-doing-much time. The only downside is that I burned the roof of my mouth pretty badly on a microwave burrito, and it has made eating difficult. Thankfully the mouth heals quickly.

I took the bus to work today. I discovered a new route that doesn't make me wait 20 minutes at the park-n-ride for the shuttle from work (I can instead take the bus all the way in to Boulder station, then hop the bus to Longmont & get off a hundred feet from work), but the shuttle was right there when the bus pulled in, so I took it anyway.

The new plan is to take the bus (which has air conditioning) on days when it is really hot, because the minivan does not have AC. Plus, I will save money on gas.

We realized at bedtime that Greg was out of sudafed, so I drove to the nearest 24-hour Walgreens, which is all the way out in freakin' Thornton. I curse everyone ever involved with the creation of crystal meth, for making it so much harder to buy effective decongestants. Curse yooooou!

Why-come you can't get Sudafed at the King Soopers just up the road? They stock it at my local KS, you just have to go to the pharmacy counter and ask. I guess I've never tried to get it outside of "normal" hours -- is the counter not staffed?

I agree that the red tape is obnoxious. I hate having to stand in line, with a runny nose, waiting to show my ID and sign my name, feeling like hollering, "do I LOOK like a meth dealer?!?". They should have an express lane for "middle 30s obvious professional with obvious cold symptoms". Sheesh.

Nope. And nobody has the keys to go open it up, either. Which is super-annoying.
