Redistricting [Aug. 14th, 2007|09:53 pm]
detailbear reminded me of a serious game I had read about but hadn't tried yet: The Redistricting Game.

It's pretty cool. Gets its point across with some fun and a bit of challenge. It even seems to deal with politics in a fairly nonpartisan way. It's kind of a shame that gerrymandering is a lot more fun, from a gameplay perspective, than drawing up fair district boundaries...

I do feel fair warning is in order: for some reason, they don't use any apostrophes. Ugh!

Much fun. Pushing the limits on Gerrymandering is great fun. Its concepts on what constitutes compact for the reform one are kinda wack, but whatever.
