Mag Tower

My boss has remarked on a number of occasions that she feels I have a talent for concision in my written communications.

And this is probably true, although it's not necessarily the innate faculty implied by the word 'talent'; I often put a lot of effort into wording in an effort to be both clear and brief. (For example, I've now rewritten this very sentence a good 3 4 6 9 times trying to get it just right)

The funny thing about it is, I put a lot of work into it because I'm actually very lazy. I don't want to be bothered with five replies going back and forth to my correspondents because we don't understand one another; I want to write a single response and be done with it, so I can get back to slacking off. All my hard work is actually a form of long-term preemptive sloth: laziness so strong it looks like effort.

Mmmm, paradox.
