Dear Colleague,

I don't mind if you don't read my email. I understand that everyone gets a lot of email and nobody has time to read all of it, and certainly not in depth. Really, it's okay.

But.

If you're going to respond to my email? In that case, it would save us both a lot of time if you would actually bother to read it first. For instance, you might discover that many of the questions you intend to ask in your response have already been answered, and not only would I not need to repeat myself, you wouldn't need to wait for my reply, because the answers are already there!

I'm just sayin'.

Love & Kisses,

Beemer,

I haven't kept up with your journal in a while, but I was wondering how you've been. A two-paragraph summary would suffice, thanks.
