Music for spies, I suppose [Jan. 10th, 2008|12:57 am]

I cheated a little and used the fourth quote from the end, not the last one, because it was a much better title than "have to say it", which is kinda cheesy and lame pop-band.

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of the band
2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of the album
3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture is the album cover

The fun part is figuring out what the resulting album sounds like.

I think Security Service is Big Beat electronica, a little heavier on the distortion, a little lighter on the samples. Think "Spybreak!" from the Propellerheads, but a little bit more industrial.

I would totally buy their album if it existed.

I'm flying to Boston tomorrow night. After I get back, I think it's time for no traveling for a while.

Music for legal conventions...

I would buy their album, too. However, I'll pass on New Zealand Bar Association's latest single called "Assume the Position." Who wants to listen to New Zealand lawyer's knock off of AC/DC with songs that consist of legal papers being read to three-chord power riffs?

Re: Music for legal conventions...

The only thing worse is the B-side, where they do a rap version of it!

This is clearly an AWESOME idea, and I think it would be a GREAT idea to write music to these various themes. Holy crap, I could be busy for years with this idea.
