So... my place to stay while in San Diego appears to have just fallen through. D'oh! Halp!|
(I was going to be staying with a friend, but havoc is being wreaked upon her life and she won't be there. The fact that not having to pay for hotel was one of the things that made this trip affordable makes it double-tricky.)
Is there anyone who's in SD or going to be there for Comic-Con who could help me out? Recommendations on suggested courses of action also welcomed.
Seth - If you haven't thought of this already: dialogue with Dave/e_ticket, Matty/mattycub, Sean/zombietruckstop (I think they all are going ...).
I will forward this to the San Diego Bear Mafia (only half-kidding). My prediction is that you'll have a place to crash and some new friends.

We are no longer known as the "Knights Who Say Ni"
Much like Prince, P-Diddy and Cingular, we've evolved and changed-our name to simply "The 619!"

You'd make a very sexy Mafia Don. Just sayin', :)
Good idea. Thanks very much!
is letting me crash in his guest room.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help!
As I related to kung_fu_monkey over on my LJ, I figured you would be taken care of (details aside).
Bryson is a good man, with a big heart. (A sweet place too.)
Have a great time in SD Seth!

That he is!!!
Karen and I have been able to get really cheap hotel rooms through Priceline in the past.
talk to crs
and see if he's sharing his room?
Normally I'd recommend Priceline or Hotwire, but let me tell ya, San Diego hotels are completely jam-packed for ComicCon weekend.
I checked a few days ago, and Hotwire didn't have anything under $200 a night.
The cheapest place I saw (within a reasonable distance) was $150 a night on Expedia... otherwise even mediocre hotels are charging $200+.
Yeah, I suppose that would kinda kill area hotel availability, wouldn't it.
I believe that Daniell Hepting (as in Jan & Daniell) is in San Diego. I can get you her contact information if you want.
Daniell was the original plan that has fallen through. Eit!
You're welcome to stay at our place and commute daily. ;)
(Oh, wait, this isn't eit! Nevermind, I'll save my useless commentary for a more appropriate venue.)
