Bluh. Felt kinda lousy today, so I mostly just holed up in my hotel room. I did venture out for dinner and discovered that one of the sushi places nearby has an all-you-can-eat special on Wednesdays, so that was nice.
Anyway, Jess and Colin put on a very fine holiday party on Sunday. Jess cooked an amazing meal, there were good people to hang out with, and there was gaming. What more can you ask for? Dominion is new and popular, and I can see why. There was also Shadow Hunters, I think, which is kind of like a more complex Bang.
Monday... first day of conference. Y'know. Saw talks, looked at posters, shuttled luggage to hotel room.
Yesterday afternoon I saw my advisor & colleagues from grad school. Met Xris for dinner. We had creepies crepes, and it was awesome. Yat!, as we used to say. |
