Swimming in the Media Stream [Jan. 1st, 2009|11:38 pm]
Y'know, I don't really do resolutions, but I'm thinking that something I'm going to start working on is that, when I fall behind on following various RSS feeds, BBS postings, mailing lists, and so on (and on and on and ON), I'm going to try to get more comfortable with not feeling like I need to catch up, and instead just marking it all 'read' and starting fresh.

(*Doesn't apply to LJ, though. For one thing, I never fall that far behind...)

I think that's a great idea. I, too often, will spend too much time on a Monday morning going through what I'd missed through the weekend because I feel like I have to know what I missed. Really?

I don't make a strong attempt to keep up on my RSS but I do on my LJ. I do need to bother the guy who makes newsfire to see if I can wrangle a few features out of them. :-)
