Grrrrrr! [Feb. 27th, 2009|09:24 pm]
The wind broke another window on the van.

New rule: if it's windy? I am working from home!

(Dinner and time have improved my mood from "spectacularly cranky" to merely "highly annoyed", but I'm still really not happy.)

Hm. What is so special about the wind where your office is now compared to where it used to be that this has begun to happen. Are you the only one experiencing this? Was this the same, or a different window this time?- i gather different from your post. And, finally, which seems the more likely culprit, 'standard' wind or windshear wind?

It's up on a mesa, right near the foothills. It gets really windy. Like, the whole building (which is heavy concrete construction) shudders.

Somebody said there have been 40+ broken windows in the parking lot already this year. It's been a very windy winter. :/

Is it the wind alone doing this? Or is it the wind knocking large tree branches onto your windows? It seems odd that wind alone could break glass!

No trees. (Well, there are some, but nowhere near the broken windows.) My guess is the wind is probably picking up small rocks and flinging them.

Sounds like you need a windbreak planted or built. Or maybe a parking garage. Underground?

Wind like that sounds like it might tip over an SUV or two.

On a different note, in that icon, you look like you need a good chin-chucking. Seriously.

Don't you guys have, like, some of the top wind experts in the world? Shouldn't somebody there be able to invent a force shield?

Alternatively, you could park at King Soopers and let the shuttle deal with the wind.

Once upon a time, you were one of my favorite people with whom to be grumpy.

All I can say right now is that I really miss you :)
