4e-splosion [May. 6th, 2009|02:09 am]

I got an idea for a one-shot D&D 4e adventure, and my brain insisted that I put all other thought processes aside and do that instead.

Which is why I haven't posted much lately, because over the last few days I have made 18 different PCs for the players to choose from, sorted out and statted up the combat encounters, developed a variant setting and cosmology, and figured out how to parse the atrociously designed XML spat out by the DDI character generator into something simpler and cleaner, because the default character sheets are fugly and horrid.

Also because I am completely insane.

I'm thinking I'm gonna run it more than once, just to justify the investment of time and effort...

So...in between the words D&D and fugly I got lost. I'm sure it was...fun. I am, however, going to see Star Trek again like all true Old Skool nerds.

"Parse the atrociously designed XML spat what?"

Your brain makes me chuckle. It's endearingly quirky. I'm sure less so when it's you that is being distracted.
