I am clearly going to have to craft a new form letter for work: one that says "No, I won't debug your visualization code and make the plots go; we're providing usable data, not doing your research for you. Sod off, you lazy bastard."

Sadly, Neal is correct: our data is free, so double the consulting rate would be... still free.
