I don't have my W2s yet, but I am working on my taxes already because I want to see if my tax return is likely to be enough that I can afford to go to New Orleans for a wedding. Itemized deductions are HARD.

I dinged 70 in WoW this weekend. Played some board games over at Tom's on Sunday.

I don't have a lot to say lately. I mean, I have thoughts and opinions about things, but then I contemplate writing more than a sentence or two and just go UGH and give up. Probably some of it is weather. And lack of sunshine. Probably some of it is using up words on writing stuff for work. I could share my argument for why using area_type as the standard_name for land model data is insufficient under CF (because area_type has a controlled vocabulary because it's syntactically coupled to cell_methods), but really, you're not interested. This is where all my words are going.

...what's surreal is, I've been living in the UK for just long enough that I even forget what US tax forms look like. Here, you only end up filling out forms if there was some kind of error in the record-keeping maintained by your employers or if they over or under refund you.

That spam comment is particularly hideous when translated. Might want to kill it with fire.

Done! Sadly, I didn't realize it was there -- the notification email got caught by my spam filter...

I just dinged 50 on my main character. Sadly, my Tauren Druid languishes around 22.

*blink, blink*

Lack of sunlight?

There's been like, what, 4 overcast days in Colorado since winter began?

Or is it the shortness of the days that brings on malaise?

It's not hard-core overcast, but there've been a lot of cloudy days recently. Maybe it's more prominent here in the foothills than over on your side of town?

Short days also contribute.

In hindsight, any thought which assumes "Colorado" as a geography with consistent weather is foolish.

I also fail at SAD empathy most days. Probably due to folks from California getting annoyingly grumpy in Spokane.

Apologies. Hope you feel better.

Okay! Things are looking good!

What's your calendar like in the vicinity of Feb. 26th?

Also, is public transit feasible in your city, or will I need a rental car?
