sugar crash [Feb. 5th, 2013|09:29 pm]
I spent all afternoon today feeling tired and blah and mildly headachey. I think what happened is that I had too many starchy things at lunch and crashed my blood sugar. Somewhat exacerbated by stress of lots to do at work and being unproductive? Possibly. It was mrga-blah, regardless.

The funny thing about it is that I felt fairly hungry on the bus ride home, but after I was moving around shopping for and making dinner, things evened out, and I didn't mind waiting to eat until Jerry got home after fu at about 8:30. (I made a super-low-carb dinner: Esalen kale salad with mushrooms instead of sprouts and broiled chicken breasts. It was very satisfying.)

So, for the record: a sandwich bun, a serving of tater tots, and a cookie? Too many carbs. (At least, without a lot more fat and/or protein to buffer it than I had.)

Ew. :)

No, there was a fish filet and some tartar sauce and some lettuce and tomato and some stuff off the salad bar in there, too. But it made for a less interesting list to include all the lunch components.
