Arkham Horror

This evening I went over to Chris's and played Arkham Horror (the new edition) with him, Jeff, Matt, and Tom O. Talk about production values! Good LORD! Enough solid cardboard bits with pretty colors and different flavors of card that I was honestly surprised that it only cost about $50. Very complicated, but once we got the hang of it the turns went relatively quickly. And still it took us ALMOST FIVE HOURS to play! We came perilously close to losing (it's another one of those co-op play games) but pulled it out in the end and managed to defeat Yog-Sothoth (mostly through luck, I think). Fun and high-quality, but not a game I'd play too frequently -- too much work.
