Up early to get ready for a colleague's wedding this morning. This will make... umm... I know I'm forgetting some, but it's at least 25 weddings I've attended. Almost half of those, I was an attendant or an usher or some such.

So if kung_fu_monkey, saintpookie, and I ever have some kind of ceremonial occasion to formally celebrate our relationship, we probably won't have groomsmen. Quite aside from the "where do they stand" problem, I'd end up dragging half the guest list up there with me, leaving no-one in the audience...

I want to know when I developed the ability to awaken completely a few minutes before the alarm goes off. It's new.

Definite advantages of triad relationships:
-Someone there to notice miscommunication and say "actually, neither of you is mad at the other -- sit down and talk for a minute".
-Doubles your chances of persuading your partner to massage your tight, achy back.

Definite disadvantages:
Dear god do we dirty a lot of dishes and laundry.

But the disadvantage would be comparable if you had a kid and two grown-ups, excpet you wouldn't have 3 people to do chores. I think you make out pretty well, all things considered.

It's true -- when there are 3 grooms, the idea of additional groomsmen seems fairly ridiculous.

No, no, think of this a chance to create a more intricute social hierarchy structure, a social fractal of sort perhaps!

Plus you make everyone dress up like clowns. Just because.

On second thought, nvermind. I hate greasepaint.

Me too. In high school I worked as a clown/clown's assistant. I've not really mentioned it to many people. Guess that's out in the open now. Balloon animals. And Toilet Paper flowers for the floats. And baggy costumes. Did I mention balloon animals?

Well, I don't see a problem with the ceremony -- Alex and Jenise had Drea in a tux for a best man, so you can get Drea and a few other women to do the same for y'all! ;-)
