I want to post something tonight, but I don't have time to write up the thing I was going to.|
So instead, have a look at what I've been doing for the last three years of my life:
The semi-official name is "Disaster Dynamics: Hurricane Landfall", but I also refer to it as "The Hurricane Landfall Game"; that's the links to follow.
Feel free to have a look! You can play a 1-player game (in debug mode, basically), but it's meant for multiple players (four), and is a lot more fun with other players.
If you fiddle with it, please, let me know if you have any problems getting it running or encounter any bugs or confusion or whatever. One of my student assistants is working on the tutorial/walkthrough, so you're kind of on your own for figuring out the interface. The startup interface stinks, and that's what my other student assistant is working on. End of game stuff is rough around the edges. But it's basically all there, now!
